BPC-157

Where to Inject BPC-157

BPC-157 is one of the few peptides where injection site location may significantly influence outcomes. Research suggests that injecting near the target tissue (local administration) may provide enhanced local effects compared to distant injection, though systemic effects are also observed regardless of site.

Recommended Injection Sites

Near Injury Site

Primary

Inject subcutaneously as close to the target area as possible for localized healing effects.

Angle90°
Depth8-12mm
TipFor tendon/joint issues, inject into the SubQ fat nearest the affected structure.

Abdomen

Secondary

Standard SubQ site when targeting systemic effects or when the injury site is not accessible.

Angle90°
Depth8-12mm
TipUse abdominal injection for gut healing or general systemic support.

Outer Thigh

Secondary

Alternative site for lower body injuries when local injection is not practical.

Angle45-90°
Depth8-12mm
TipGood for knee or lower leg injury protocols.

Injection Technique

Subcutaneous (SubQ)Needle: 29-31G gauge, 8mm (5/16")
1

Wash Hands

Wash hands with soap and water for 20+ seconds. Dry with a clean towel.

2

Prepare the Dose

Wipe the vial stopper with alcohol. Draw the calculated dose into an insulin syringe. Remove air bubbles.

3

Clean the Site

Swab the injection site with alcohol in a circular motion. Allow to air dry for 30 seconds.

4

Pinch and Insert

Pinch a fold of skin at the injection site. Insert the needle at 90 degrees with a quick, smooth motion.

5

Inject Slowly

Push the plunger slowly over 5-10 seconds. Wait 5 seconds, then withdraw. Apply gentle pressure.

6

Dispose Safely

Place the syringe directly into a sharps container. Return the vial to the refrigerator.

Timing & Frequency

Timing

Most protocols use morning and evening dosing, 30 minutes before meals on an empty stomach.

Frequency

Twice daily (BID) is most common. Some protocols use once daily.

Site Rotation

When injecting near an injury site, rotate around the area by 1-2 inches each time. When using standard sites, follow the standard rotation schedule.

Local vs Systemic Effects

BPC-157 demonstrates both local and systemic effects. Local injection near the injury site is preferred when possible, as it delivers higher concentrations to the target tissue. However, studies show systemic effects (e.g., gut healing from distant SubQ injection) are also significant, suggesting BPC-157 has a systemic signaling component.

Warnings & Precautions

  • !BPC-157 is not FDA-approved for any use.
  • !Inject near but not directly into joints, tendons, or wounds.
  • !Rotate injection sites even when targeting a specific area.
  • !Store reconstituted BPC-157 at 2-8°C and use within 28 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I inject BPC-157 near the injury or in my stomach?

For localized issues (tendon, joint, muscle), injecting SubQ near the site is preferred. For gut healing or systemic support, abdominal injection works well. BPC-157 has both local and systemic activity.

Can I inject BPC-157 directly into a joint?

No. Intra-articular injection is a medical procedure requiring sterile technique and expertise. Inject subcutaneously near the joint, not into it.
